AI Ethics Policy
Our Commitment to Ethical AI in Real Estate
KairosIQ AI was founded on the principle that artificial intelligence in real estate must be governed by the same ethical obligations that govern the professionals who use it. Our AI systems are designed to be transparent, fair, and compliant with the laws that protect consumers and communities.
1. Fair Housing Compliance
Every AI-generated recommendation, email draft, property suggestion, and market analysis is audited for compliance with:
- Federal Fair Housing Act (42 USC 3601-3619)
- Arizona ADRE Law (ARS 32-2153)
- NAR Code of Ethics (Articles 1, 2, 10, 12)
- Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA)
- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
Our compliance auditing operates as a multi-stage pipeline: automated keyword detection across eight violation categories, followed by AI-powered contextual review, with automatic content revision when issues are detected. All violations are logged with 10-year retention for regulatory audit purposes.
2. Bias Prevention
We actively monitor our AI systems for bias across protected classes including race, color, religion, national origin, sex, familial status, and disability. Our approach:
- Regular bias audits of AI recommendation distributions
- Drift detection to catch gradual shifts in AI behavior
- Training data diversity requirements
- Explicit prohibition of demographic factors in property recommendations
- Independent review of AI fairness metrics
3. Transparency
We believe you have the right to understand how AI affects your experience:
- AI-generated content is always identified as such
- Property valuations include the data sources and methodology behind them
- You can request a human review of any AI-generated recommendation
- We explain how our AI matching and classification systems work
- Compliance audit results are available to supervising brokers
4. Hallucination Prevention
AI systems can generate factually incorrect information — a phenomenon known as "hallucination." In real estate, this is unacceptable because incorrect property data, fabricated market statistics, or invented claims about a client can violate fiduciary obligations and ADRE law. Our approach:
- AI is grounded in real data — property information comes from MLS and county records, not AI generation
- Every AI recommendation is cross-referenced against actual lead data before delivery
- Hallucination detection monitors track violation rates across all AI services
- Blocked outputs are automatically revised and re-audited
- Weekly quality reports identify trends in AI accuracy
5. Data Usage and Learning
How AI Improves
Our AI systems learn from aggregated, anonymized user interactions to improve recommendations for everyone:
- Search patterns help refine matching algorithms
- Feedback improves accuracy of recommendations
- Market data updates keep suggestions current
- Error corrections prevent future mistakes
Proprietary Model Training
We train proprietary AI models on aggregated, de-identified interaction patterns to improve service quality for all users. This training uses statistical patterns, not individual conversations. Your personal information is never exposed to the training process. All training data undergoes de-identification and aggregation before use. Our models are trained and hosted on our own private cloud infrastructure — your data never leaves our secure environment and is never shared with third-party AI providers for training purposes.
You may opt out of your data being included in training datasets by contacting privacy@kairosiq.ai.
What We Don't Do
- Create discriminatory user profiles
- Share individual behavior data with third parties
- Use AI to manipulate or pressure decisions
- Replace human judgment in critical situations
- Send client data to consumer AI platforms (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.)
6. Private-Cloud Architecture
KairosIQ operates on private-cloud infrastructure specifically because consumer AI platforms are architecturally incompatible with the fiduciary obligations of real estate professionals. Our infrastructure ensures:
- Client data remains within our AWS environment at all times
- AI inference runs on models hosted in our own infrastructure
- No data is shared with third-party AI providers for their model training
- Conversations carry the confidentiality protections that consumer AI platforms cannot provide
- Full audit trail of every AI decision for supervisory compliance
7. Accountability
- Compliance Auditing: Every AI output reviewed before delivery
- Regular Audits: Weekly quality assessments of AI fairness and accuracy
- Incident Response: Rapid investigation of any concerns
- Continuing Education: ADRE-approved CE courses on ethical AI in real estate
- Report Concerns: Contact compliance@kairosiq.ai
